One of my favorite winter activities is watching my two youngest grand children ski race.  It is particularly fun when the sun is shining and the wind is non-existent.  Then I bring my easel and paints along and paint between races.  This view was painted from half way up the hill. Such a typical sight from all Wisconsin ski hills.... red barns in the distance, pine trees lining the runs and lots of families out for a day on the slopes.
