I tried something new with this painting. I found some beautiful peonies growing next to a garage . When I asked the owner if she would mind my setting up in her yard to paint , she said that she didn't trust her dog to behave with me in the yard. So I took a photo and was on my way. Next I drove around looking for inspiration. I found this abandoned farmhouse with not yet blooming daylilies in front of the porch. Voila ! Daylilies became peonies ! And perhaps I will return to paint the daylilies when they bloom.
